When we first started the program at Waweza Movement, the kids were camera shy. Taking a picture of them was a hustle. But are things still the same? Not at all! They have grown in leaps and bounds.
We recently introduced them to basic photography and we are definitely amazed! They have come a long way!!
A class that started as a ‘select group’ of people has turned to a class for all! How do you handle the demand? Tell you what, we are winning by having extra sessions.
We have the youngest (6) and the oldest participating!
Some of the basics they are learning are inclusive of:
· Photography basics
· Shutter speed
· ISO
· Flash
· Focus
· Camera settings
· Photography tips for beginners
· Types of photography
Here is a snippet of their work.
Working with Waweza Movement has enabled us to walk the journey with them to impact the lives of the boys and girls at their home. Their investment in a skills training program for the kids has not only opened up opportunities for their kids but also is empowering them to be self-reliant individuals. we are grateful to be part of this journey.
