Kids are easy at grasping knowledge and concepts even in an easier way than adults do. But a lot of times, our own limiting beliefs can easily limit us from exposing them to different skills because we might think ‘this might be too hard for them’.

The one thing we have experienced when running our programs, however, is that kids make for the best explorers and learners. And what we usually ask guardians is, ‘why not just give them a shot at something, give it time and allow them to impress you?’

In the last 2.5 years, we have had the pleasure of working with the Waweza Movement. They host kids from the ages of 6- 20 at their home, and the transformational journey for them has been impressive.

For instance, we have been running digital literacy sessions and most especially for the younger kids (6–11years) we have had drawing, Ms paint sessions that incorporated digital storytelling.

When we introduced these sessions, the kids did not believe that they could do much as most if not all had not had an opportunity to draw or paint before. It took more nurturing and reassuring them and showing them that you did believe in their abilities. In a matter of weeks, the growth was visible.

The kids can not only use characters to develop a story, but they can create a compelling one at that.

These design, drawing and Ms paint classes can highly benefit your child. Some of these benefits are inclusive of:

Has your child shown some potential and love for drawing,? Do you feel like if you introduced them to such a class it would help them get better and explore their potential? If your answer is yes to at least one of the above, then you are at the right place. Enrol your child today so they can reap such benefits.
